It is turning into a really good World Cup with some cracking games and some shocks keeping that element of unpredictability going. I fancy not too much between England and our next opponents so a game that can go either way. Looks like the opening game line up will run out again for this one and hopefully they can bring their early form to the knock out win or bust stages.

Phew, a rare penalty shoot out win! Unlucky not to get a clear second penalty and then to concede in stoppage time so the right result after much heat ache

With news of the over the top tackle Theresa May is intending to perpetrate on the British electorate (and on democracy itself) starting to filter through just an hour or two before kick off, I'm sure many of us found it difficult to focus our minds on sport. But when it got to penalties, even I was able to put the great betrayal out of my mind for a while, and will Jordan Pickford to keep one out. If Remainer May hasn't instigated a Civil War by the weekend, then it'll be another tense match against the Swedes for us to cope with on Saturday.

Speak for yourself. Nice pictures though.
