Potential Rumour Mill ‘clue’ elsewhere that James Constable might be rocking up at Plainmoor. He’ll be 34 in October. Played Conference South on loan for Poole back end of last season. If he’s still got it, he is the type of forward we are missing, imo. A line leader.

5 a side training Monday? Not many new faces signed up thus far. If none of the promised additions arrive soon Owers will have failed to deliver and another season of failure will materialise!

The way things are going at present doesn’t give rise to a great deal of confidence that Owers is going to create a title challenging team this season. The rhetoric from the club is not (so far) being reciprocated by developments at Plainmoor.

Given his injury record I would have thought this is a very risky signing for whoever took him on. Personally glad we didn't get him, if indeed we were ever in the hunt for him. |
