Good luck to him. I noticed we had no defensive cover on Saturday's bench. I would not have wanted Ander son as that cover as he appeared to have gone backwards in terms of performance. It may be that we are now regarded by those who count as having sufficient cover defensively. It may provide additional for some further cover. We have some versatility with some of our personnel who can play defensive roles. Efete (RWB, CB); Barnes (RWB,LWB, CDM); McGinty (CB, LB). We also have Klukowski (CB, CDM) and Myrie-Williams (LWB) as additional in reserve. I have read elsewhere that the circumstances of Higgins' compassionate leave mean it is unlikely that he will return. |

He played an important part in our revival last season but couldn't repeat the end of season form after an early season injury if I remember correctly.
Lovely guy I wish him well wherever he ends up but the one performance when Ower's played him at left back sealed his fate for me.
Ryan Higgins - I rated for his commitment and work rate and we've had far worse come into the squad and left of late.
If it is genuinely for compassionate reason he has been absent then I wish him all the best and hope his personal troubles have a positive outcome.
