The HE reports that Reading and a couple of Premiership clubs are watching Torquay Academy striker Olaf Koszela.
He's not sixteen until March, but if he's that good stick him on the bench.

Chelstongull Exactly right. What a shot in the arm it would be to see young talent being recognised in such a way. As an old fan once said: 'Olaf and the Popside laughs with you'. And I've no doubt that our loyal fans would make allowances for youth and be only too willing to give their full backing to a young prospect. With the possibility that it might be about to give up it's unofficial title of 'The John Barlett Britain First Popside' in order to be officially named in honour of a TUFC great of the past, being seen to warmiy encourage a young hopeful would further enhance the reputation of those Gulls fans who prefer the terrace section. If they're good enough they're old enough. Give the lad a close up view of the senior action at least.....what's the worst that can happen, he learns a few new swear words from Martin Kuhl ? , but overall a great experience and insight for a young player. Well worth considering.

And now the OS has a report on this exceedingly good news as well. link - Clarke's Vision For Our Future Taking Shape It was one of Clarke Osborne’s aims when he took over the club, that we restart the Academy, and I think we have made significant progress, in what is a big project. He is fully behind the development of young players at Torquay United. His support is incredibly important and bodes very well for the future of the Club.
What fantastic news for us all as we head up to Christmas. We've already seen a change to the shareholding ownership that more greatly emphasises Clarke's position as undisputed supreme leader. And now signs that the Osborne Youth will be in the vanguard of our forthcoming march back to greatness. But these are very early stages. Let's not lose sight of the fact that suggestions for a red white and black away kit, a pre season tour of the Sudetenland, and renaming our Seale Hayne Training facility 'The Eagle's Nest', have not yet received official sanction.
Clarke is preparing the building blocks and other prefabricated necessities for our future greatness, our total dominance of South West football, and the crushing of Marxist influenced militant troublemakers among our fanbase.
The Christmas message for 2017 is therefore undoubtedly positive. A bright future awaits us in which today's minor problems will have been long forgotten. Working so diligently to nurture young local football talent for the club is just one aspect of the new regimes visionary approach that can make us all so proud.

I see that
"Leyton Orient have agreed a deal with SkyBet Championship side Leeds United for the sale of forward Sam Dalby.
Dalby, who signed his first professional deal with the O’s in December 2016, made his debut for the club in a 3-1 win over Stevenage in the Checkatrade Trophy at the age of 16 years and 226 days, becoming the sixth youngest player to appear for the O’s."
Stick Koszela on the bench for Saturday, bring him for 10 minutes or so, lets see what he can do.

Not convinced on throwing a 15 year old into our current toxic matchday mix. Much as it would be nice to have that striker we were apparently getting this week.

Good on him. Glad he wasn’t thrown in last season as that would have been ridiculous and damaging to the lad. Good to see ‘one of our own’ make the grade and hope this goes well, as will all. Give him time.
