Tough game on a cold day up North.
Tranmere on 31 points from 22 games, Torquay on 18 from 23.
Add those two together and you get 49 points from 45.
Despite recent improvement, it is quite scary what we still have to do.
"Tranmere form" (i.e. top half just outside the playoffs) from now on would put us probably still needing a result on the last day to stay up.
Gulp.

Huge amount of work to be done still Jon but I do fancy us to pull clear though there will be setbacks for sure. As tough as they come today playing a fast improving Tranmere side who are still one of my favorites to at least get into the playoffs. They have far to much quality in the squad to be floundering around in the bottom half. I think we will be fortunate to get anything from today but not going to write us off completely after our recent improvement. Owers and Kuhl have finally brought in the some players of the correct quality and have got them working their nuts off so there is hope.

Now 2-0 down after playing quite well, pity but think we will be going home empty handed.

Disappointing but not unexpected and the score flattered Tranmere somewhat but once again if you don't hit the onion bag you aint going to bring any points home. I reckon Gnabouyou will get his first start next game we need to find out soon if he can fill the void.

The money and resources the new management team have had plus all the time in the world to get it right and were still crap! That's how I see it we won't survive this season, come February well have a entirely new squad due to the fact that nearly all our players are on loan. We won't have time for nearly a whole squad to jel! Crunch the maths, I call Harrap wrong on this appointment, as I did when the appointment was made! I also called the appointment of placing Harrop in his role as an error due to the fact that he's not a football guru merely a juniors coach! We people are officially doomed!!!

Proof of it was ever needed! It will take a miracle to get out of this relegation battle! Watch the highlights!

Proof of it was ever needed! It will take a miracle to get out of this relegation battle! Watch the highlights! Looks like we were lucky to get nil. Staying positive, we have just had three good performances followed by one bad one. That is an improvement on the previous pattern of one good performance followed by three bad ones. Let's hope Saturday was a bad day at the office and we can now string together another three good performances. It will be incredibly tough to dodge the bottom four - and I am very aware of the "Ashes curse" - but we are not quite at miracle required stage. Nico dodged the drop twice with no resources (not even a team bus), so no reason why Owers cannot do it with far greater backing. I am not saying he will do it, but I am saying it is possible.
