I see Aldershot have signed a couple of lads from Ipswich on loan thanks to their 'Beat the Budget' scheme:
"Launched last season, `Boost the Budget` invites fans to contribute directly to Waddock’s first-team playing budget and, by donating just £10 per month, supporters can help The Shots Trust towards their initial target of £20,000 – potentially the difference between a good and a great season."
I'm sure Exeter do something different, hows are playing fund doing? Anyone know?

Given Exeter are fan owned then a 'player fund' is possibly a good idea. But we are not, we are owned by people who could, if they wanted, afford to make funds available but chose not to. On top of that our owners appear to have absolutely no idea as to how a football club is run; so even if our fund still existed it would be advisable to anyone not to contribute to it.

Anyone would have to be mad to contribute to a player fund, under this ownership. To be frank, I thought they were under the last lot as well but it's up to others how they choose to waste their wages.

Good scheme by Aldershot. They kept hold of the core of their squad from last season, too.

The evidence strongly suggests to me that they more likely have a 'Referees Fund' at Aldershot. Only reason King Kev's brave lads didn't start this Season with 4 points from a possible 6.
