Rob
If Rob can keep smiling through the current adversity, then the rest of us can make a similar effort not to surrender to despondency either. The notion that G.I turned up saying you just tell us what you want and we'll sign the cheques to pay for it, would of course be tantamount to a 'Thea' level of generosity that a business geared towards turning a profit just wouldn't countenance. There are some definite red lines. And the Osborne Arena is well guarded behind one of those vivid extra thick red lines. Otherwise you could have the revolutionary marxist wing of TUST exerting their influence online and shaping policy.
You want more information and more regular updates on the Official site ? You can have it. You want a big name manufacturer on the kit ? You can have it. You want King Kev retained with an increased budget ? We'll give it to him. Now you've decided you want Kev given the boot ? We'll do that for you. You'd like an old man as the new Manager ? We'll do our best to find one for you.
However, the big business stuff such as who pays for it all; the cash generated from the seven days a week use at the Osborne Arena ?, or the current model where you want the cash to come from G.I or from further loans ?, isn't really up for being swayed by a less than business savvy bulk of supporters. If you want to see how your own business model would work out, then put it into operation via Phoenix TUST F.C, using your own money.
Good of Rob to acknowledge my 'credit where it's due but criticism where it's due also' approach towards the club's ownership. And with them having made a pigs ear of things during the first month, thankfully it's not quite September yet, giving them time to put things right. It is vital that we don't follow up one bad decision in dismissing Kev, by bringing in a replacement unsuited to our existing playing squad, given we have limited resources for major change. Losing early ground on the objectives of the 5 year business plan will only heap early pressure on the local board of all the talents who are expected to convene shortly.

That made me chuckle. I think it was a full 48 hours after "Our Survey Said" no to a new ground that Osborne & Co. started talking about one again. Following up with the new stadium by 2020 bollocks. AJ seems the biggest critic of our owner over the last couple of weeks, though, so maybe I'll leave that stage to him for now.
