I see that there are only the two of us, Florida Gull and myself, on line at the moment, and it crossed my mind that perhaps, ironically, he is waiting for me to make some other comment about smoking. That's done, my friend of the first amendment, and you are as entitled to your views as I am to mine.
I am really surprised that nobody on this forum has ventured an opinion on the horrific events of Monday evening, so perhaps this site is not as attentive or vibrant as it should be. If anyone out there is interested in my take on this, I would say that the civilised world has a really serious problem on its hands when these suicide bombers blow themselves up in the ridiculously misguided belief that they are going on to some kind of better life after death. Evil losers, as Donald Trump has called them, are really all they are, as will be apparent when their body parts are thrown into an incinerator.
I must also add that someone on another site has made the following comment about Andy Burnham:
Andy Burnham, the recently elected Labour mayor of Manchester, is either a complete idiot or another typical lefty PC politician full of ideological BS. He is saying that the terrorist bomber Abedi is not a Muslim, and that the attack had nothing to do with Islam!
That really is a fine way to disrespect the man who did far more than anyone to expose the lies, deceit and injustice surrounding the deaths of the 96 at Hillsborough. Shame on you for saying that.
