Kinda like the guy but what title is Compliance Manager? Part-time - wages out of playing budget? What does the GM do for his pay then? Confused.com

Great news that the club is again able to benefit from someone as well respected and with the considerable experience that Andrew has. There's a thousand and one various rules and regulations that a football club is obliged to abide by if it wants to stage matches attended by several thousand people, and Andrew will do his best to make sure we're up to scratch with all of them.
A shrewd signing by the club, and I'm certain everyone will be pleased to hear he's back at Plainmoor, if only on a part time basis.

Thanks for the kind words. I think it is quite reasonable to ask the question as to what I will be doing. There is a similar thread on one of the other forums so for the sake of consistency or is it laziness I have cut and pasted by reply to that forum below: "My priority has always been to try and help the Club. I started as a volunteer decades ago and was fortunate to enjoy the privilege of different senior roles. It became evident to me recently that with the loss of certain paid staff the Club might benefit from my knowledge and experience. Compliance is all about meeting the licensing requirements set by the Council to ensure that the stadium is safe for public use. There are many key elements to making sure that the stadium meets the criteria that is very keenly enforced by the Safety Advisory Group. If these criteria are not satisfied SAG could refuse to allow the public entry so having someone in charge of this is important. I won't bore you with the detail but think public safety, stewarding, repairs and maintenance, structural surveys, fire safety etc. I will only be at the Club on a very part time basis but as always if there is anything I can do to help fans who are struggling to get an answer from the Club, I will do my best to help". Great to see you involved again Andrew. We desperately need people like yourself and KN who genuinely care about the football club working on the inside and for the good of TUFC. Good luck in your new position.

I echo petef's thoughts word for word.
It is still absolutely essential that we stop G.I. getting the freehold though!!!!!!
Whatever happens next after that, TUFC will be better off for having Andrew on board.

I do hope that you will be able to "persuade" the Safety Group that darkened and mirrored glass in the lounges does indeed comply with requirements - especially at the fifth tier of English football (perhaps they should visit some premiership grounds - I do not think that they have blinds over the windows)!. Will you still be able (permitted) to remain on the Board of TUST?

Thank you tqriviera. I have not been to SAG for several years so I don't know what the current position is on preventing people drinking in the lounge from watching or even glimpsing the game in between gulps of lager and a few crisps. I know it was more a directive from the Police so I will find out at the next SAG meeting. The issue of TUST is sensitive so I won't comment publicly.
