If nothing else, the sub titles made me laugh!
I did not learn too much to be frank. I suppose that GI have now hosted a fans forum and set up an academy structure of sorts like they said they would but maybe not in a format envisaged by many.

Ever since the Rowe era fans have been complaining about a lack of communication from the board/ owners. Now the current owners have introduced a channel for communication and everyone still whinges.
I have been surprised at the questions they have agreed to answer, we know they are from genuine fans who have been critical of the new owners, and all respect for them doing that. With any two way communication between board and fans, the owners will give answers that reflect themselves in a positive light; this would be the case whoever the owners are and at any club in the land.
To be honest I do not know where this concern for communication between owners and supporters comes from. When I started following football in the early seventies the only person me or my mates were interested in hearing from was the manager.

I just can't see how anyone can say that GI have done ANYTHING right... Just my opinion... It feels like they are being cut more slack than previous owners by one or two. I listened, and was neither particularly impressed or unimpressed. It failed to provoke the same reaction in me than last weeks Osborne interview. Harrop is just another, less influential, part of the GI team to me and I note he did not rule out us becoming part time. I have simply never before known us approach a transfer, registration or loan deadline week fighting relegation where the only movement was a starting player outwards. (Hodgkiss) Maybe it has happened in our past, but I can't recall that having ever been the case. |

Harrop came from Northampton at one stage and seems he continues to talk complete and utter cooblers. He and CO are simply ticking boxes for the council and treading water as they follow their rainbow looking for that elusive crock of gold.

I suppose GI will say they have pumped in 500k to keep the club going but is that because they want to keep TUFC on life support until they get what they want?
Probably a lot more onus on GI to communicate to the fan base as for the first time we have owners without an interest in football but with a fixation on the freehold to underpin their investment.....

I felt that at the last face to face forum Dave Philips managed to soft soap most people, remember what he said about GI not being one the potential bidders to take over? My point is that no matter what type of communication they use, the owners, no matter who they are, are going to soft soap the supporters. |
