We have only got 4 home games left including this one and need to make them all count. Eastleigh, after a poor run of form have won a couple to more or less reach safety so hopefully with the pressure off we can get something from this. Everyone should be fresh.

More misery - hope we can survive but I don't think the owners give a shit.

Poor, poor defending did for us tonight although their last goal was a cracker going in off the post. We actually played quite well after they scored in the first half after our defence parted like the Red Sea and then had 3 good chances to equalise - a Young shot just crept wide, a Sparkes free kick was well saved low down with the onrushing Anderson just past the rebound and finally Harrad had the ball on the 6 yard line but facing away from goal and unable to swivel round well enough to direct home.
Second half started well with a Young goal creeping in at the far post from a corner but the impetus was lost when a poor free kick was headed across the area as opposed to out by our defender for their player to control and slot home. Again we got back into things when Harrad managed to master the swivel thing to slot home low just inside the left hand post. Finally from a corner the ball was half cleared to the edge of the area but straight to an Eastleigh player who volleyed in with a very well taken shot which slammed in off the right hand post.
Their keeper was an arse but this sees us back in the poo poo!

Thought we played quite well and with a bit of investment we'd be a few points or so above the drop zone - so well done to the forward thinking and a complete waste of space GI for spending money on back room staff rather than on the playing staff.
The rule on taking goal kicks needs to be changed after that thingy Stacks antics tonight in order that time wasting (or as some call it killing the game off) can be reduced. What a horrible side.
Yes he 'played within the rules' but took ages getting the ball, setting the ball up etc. The whole team were time wasting from from the start - right back taking ages (and gaining yards) at throw ins, keeper going down under very minimal contact, one playing going off with blood injury at least 4 times and players encroaching on free kicks. Absolute shower - something the ref should have clamped down on from the start.

Taking Eastleigh's antics aside, we handed them three goals through poor defending, especially their third.
Conference South here we come...
