Another six pointer and we need to come out on the right side of these games. The eonly consolidation from last week was that we played well for the first hour and should have been comfortably in the lead but those missed chances were compounded by basic mistakes which Need to be cut out if we are to achieve anything....

Nothing has changed though I'm hopeful we get the rub of the green over the next month. The decline has been predictable and the same problems that have been apparent week after wek have simply not been addressed We have performed appallingly against the teams around us and nobody can answer the question why that is its surely a mental thing. I hope for something today as we all do but a win and three points is a must and we must approach the game with that in mind and try and find the form and attitude we had against Forrest Green. And talking of those two matches just after Blissett had departed when we ran them ragged in the first match.
These two games have contributed greatly to our tumble down the table and into the drop zone. An air of "we don't need to replace Blissett we have enough to keep the club in lower mid table" attitude. You cant stand still in this game whether your at the top or struggling like us.

We have a lead once again. Can we hold on, push on for more or fall apart as we usually do?

Well the football gods finally chose us. Could have gone either way listening to it Moore saving our skins just before our winner. Tranmere on Tuesday, a team that should punish our obvious lack of quality.

Well worth taking a look at how the guy being built up to superstar status on Friday got on. His name associated with a possible hattrick on TFF. Tipped to score at least 3 on Torquay Fans.com. We were advised to 'watch him rip us apart' on BTPIR. Yet the man so many were pinning their hopes on to deliver King Kev's P45 to him, came on and did nothing. In contrast King Kev threw on a lad who'd been on his sick bed for a couple of days, and who'd only travelled up to Southport on the day.....you know the rest . Oops, almost forgot to mention Hector's declaration made elsewhere, that defeat was 'bloody inevitable' for Kev's lads today. A shockingly inaccurate statement that seems to have particularly grated with Donald. At least we can savour these three precious points from a match that Jon has so recently provided the statistical evidence to show might have been one of our most difficult of the season. Congratulations also to Clarke Osborne for that morale boosting talk that he provided to Kev last Monday, and of course for the valuable extra funds that will enable us to further strengthen as we head into those important last games of the season.

Well the football gods finally chose us. Could have gone either way listening to it Moore saving our skins just before our winner. Tranmere on Tuesday, a team that should punish our obvious lack of quality. As Jon's insightful post earlier showed us, Tranmere have a good record against the bottom teams. But we have a decent one against the top teams, so there's an element of a clash of the titans in that respect! Obviously our boys have to do the business without any support from the owners with Nico left helplessly having to plead with his players to do it for him today having received the dreaded boardroom curse of 'support with no reinforcements' for the relegation 6 pointers we've just endured. Yet despite no assistance from "GI" (we got the code even if AJ didn't, Kev) the spirit to triumph in adversity is obviously still able to spark very occasionally. Well done to all involved. All those truly with TUFC's best interests at heart can be happier this evening, be it up the Dumpling or elsewhere. Others can scratch their heads at us failing to die just yet. Enjoy the weekend.

Great result today. Imminent visit of Tranmere a bit daunting. Remember when we lost at home 2-5 in 1969. I seem to remember the first time our goalie touched the ball was when he took it out of the net after their first goal. Hoping for something better next week. Perhaps we will have signed a new player by then to boost the squad.
