Point gained where it wasn't expected. Other results make for a worrying League table. Just two points away from the trap door now. The next few games have Sutton, Southport and Guiseley as 3 of our next 4 opponents.

Superior goal difference to those around us as well which could see us squeeze through although hopefully will not come to that!

A decent point gained - Once again we manage to perform against one of the better sides in the division, unlike when we play the teams that really matter around us. The next three or four games are as big as they get but we are at least looking more solid defensively though worryingly pitifully lightweight and inadequate up front. Not sure why Critchlow and Keating didn't get ten minutes. I would have thought some fresh young legs may have caused a stir in the Barrow defense. Does KN not have enough confidence in the players hes signed? May have been a small gamble- maybe we haven't got to that stage just yet but its not far away for sure.

The importance of the next four games is very much a test for our new owners to show by actions before those matches if they are bothered what division we are in next season.
I thought they would chuck a few quid at us before killing us off via land grab, but the "few quid" bit hasn't transpired yet. Now must surely be the time.

loyaltygull I wouldn't completely rule out some 'earth moving' taking place a little further down the line . But for the time being, G.I will be well aware of the uncertainty that was swirling around the club for most of the season leading up to Christmas, and the detrimental effect that can have. Some much needed stability and working more quietly behind the scenes has been just what was needed. Supporters will hopefully concentrate solely on backing the team, and a lack of off-field distractions is a blessing which King Kev is probably grateful for. Kev's post match comments indicated that he feels the message has got through over recent weeks, and that is very encouraging for the group of matches coming up. Shaun Harrad back in contention, Luke Young thankfully not out with injury as we feared, some new young talent in on loan....I'd imagine Kev will want to keep things fairly settled if he can, particularly on the back of that battling performance at Barrow. However, should he decide to bring someone new in, possibly to compensate for Cap'n Courtney's injury, or to add further competition for a forward positions, I'm sure fans and G.I will back Kev's judgement. Luxury coach travel, plus comfy overnight accommodation, all helped our players be on tip top form for that tough assignment at Barrow. I'm convinced the 'To hell with the cost, only the best is good enough for our lads' approach from G.I, played a vital part in ensuring our well rested players were able to match Barrow stride for stride. Not that I'm overlooking the contribution of Kev's renowned fitness regime, that Brett Williams has so clearly reaped the benefits of, to the extent that he now appears to have the fitness levels to get him through a whole match. I'm sure he regrets (allegedly) not showing more faith in King Kev's methods earlier in the season. Kev and the players had every sort of criticism people could dream up thrown at them last season, but refused to let themselves be deflected off course as they gave 100% to the task at hand. Massive efforts to rock the boat will again take place over the final months of this season, but the players, and the majority of fans, will have to show the same resolve. A truly united approach will bring us the steady progress necessary to ensure relegation will be the fate of others and not ourselves.
