As reported elsewhere (but not on the official site), not that everybody is happy though:
Two players sign on loan
Joel Ambalu pacey forward from the Midlands
Billy Palfrey Plymouth defender/midfielder

Welcome additions, both. Here's hoping they are regarded as starting X1 potential, as we need those types of signing more than ever.

Sad times indeed when a former league club is seen to be scraping the barrel to get a team out, let alone travelling to matches in a clapped out minibus driven by the player/manager. Can things get worse? I suppose so (given the way those at the club are conducting things)! Again beginning to question what is the point as simply bumbling along at this sort of level does not inspire much, especially since no sign of imminent (or even rumours of potential) investment evident! The interface between club and public is not particularly slick which does not help either!

There is a severe disconnect between club and supporters, which is ironic when it is a group of fans running the club, and this hardly engenders any goodwill or for those floating supporters to make the effort to come along. The current board are not adding any investment so just how would things be worse than they currently are if TUST was running the club; an accountable, transparent body of people, far more likely to galvanise fellow supporters than the current lot who just seem to be in thrall to Peter Masters.

Well not really, possibly. I think the current board's intention was to mothball thee club until some outside investors came along. That is clearly not now going to happen. So that leaves TUST as the only option. But there is the possibility TUST might not want to take it on, a lot depends on their financial report. Let's face it, the club is an absolute basket case. Any decent professional club would have in addition to ther first team, a reserve side and youth sides at various age levels, and would also be able to arrange the travel for away matches for those sides. We only have the first team and a hired mini bus. We are not a good advert for the National League and I wouldn't be surprised if the league management committee took a closer look at how things are going at plainmoor. We plainly do not have the finances to run a proper professional outfit, and I would not be surprised if, assuming we survive that long, we go part time next season.
