Those interested in the goings-on at Truro may like to listen to the attached link from just before 1:10. Those only interested in Torquay may want to listen from 1:27:40. Masters is being disingenuous saying that Plainmoor stadium is worth £250k. That is the value of the land with the current sitting tenant based on a rental yield. He knows that full well. Not sure whether our board do. He also says that he has "purchased a two year option at Torquay United". If he is telling the truth, does that mean that the money paid is a non-refundable fee for the option rather than a loan? Good news if true. But it appears that Truro can groundshare at Plainmoor next season if they want to. I assume that a "two year option at Torquay United" means to groundshare at Plainmoor rather than to purchase TUFC itself. Dangerous game assuming though. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p048nfnr

Indeed, that value is for the freehold and nothing to do with the stadium!!!! And nothing to do with the value of the football club either. Value of the football club = nil Value of land with sitting tenant £250k. Value of land without sitting tenant = millions That is why the vultures are sniffing. It is the duty of the board to defend the club from vultures. I wish I had more confidence in them than I do.

Let's not be too quick to right off our Council, and assume they won't play their part in helping us to also benefit from a modern multi-use new stadium. Whether it's got their backs up by seeing Riviera Macron muscling in on behalf of the saboteurs on an issue many believe to be exclusively and solely a local Government decision I'm not sure, but they've shown some backbone recently in not pandering to 'You Know Who' . But remembering the state Heaney left the club at Truro in, with the prospect of nowhere to play their home matches looming, just further emphasises the incredible work that Pete Masters has put in, when even still having the club in existence is an achievement in itself, before you factor in the tiny fanbase etc. To be flying high in NLS and with the prospect of all the extra revenue that their likely new home will generate, you can only admire what Pete achieves in the face of all his critics.
