Ha ha Phil, I thought I was having a bad day but you must be having a shocker. Don't worry my Tweenaway friend, it will all turn out OK. In 5 years time, todays doom merchants from the Remain campaign and the pessimistic Gulls supporters will be in a state of nirvana. We will be supporting a League 1 team in a country with no deficit and a booming economy.

floridagull Floridagull hits the nail on the head, and it also illuminates why, for a company such as GI, getting a firm commitment that they won't be met with all sorts of hindrances and blocks from the council is imperative, before they commit to buying the club. Gaming International want to earn money from that 130,000....they aren't working on a way to squeeze more cash out of the 2% that might turn up at Plainmoor once a fortnight, as the genorous season ticket price already signals. A new stadium with the sort of facilities that encourages the 130,000 to pay to use them, 7 days a week, irrespective of those customers lack of interest in the football team that plays there at the weekend, is much more relevent. In simplistic terms, a stadium where you can think about, and cater to, that 98% and the bigger revenues they'd bring in, rather than focusing on the 2% who in football terms, are indeed 'pretty much it' as Florida rightly concludes. Well meaning owners such as Thea, with sufficiently deep pockets to cover the costs and the losses, certainly have their heart in the right place, but the more dispassionate approach, and a desire and ambition to make a profit rather than to make losses more manageable, would demand the implementation of new and more efficient methods, and a significant change in thinking. If, in a few months time, he's not otherwise engaged with the task of being President of the United States, perhaps Donald Trump could be persuaded to take on TUFC as a new business project ? Maybe Floridagull could have a word in his ear on our behalf ?

GI's motives in previous ventures may well be (well, possibly) as Alpine states, but their track record suggests demolition, secured alternative site, no stadium, blame others, long game, housing/other property development. I was beginning to worry that mention of trusts was being met with eerie silence from Alpine Towers, but glad your own memorandum of understanding has come to an end, sir.

Update from TUST tonight.
TUFC Board Meeting
Dear Member...
Today we met with the club board and spent a constructive hour discussing the current takeover situation and apotential Plan B.
Unfortunately the club is still bound by the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding they have in place with Gaming International so we are unable to add to comments and statements already in the public demand.
The MoU runs for a further 9 days after which time the club will be making a full statement.
In the meantime we wait.
Kind Regards...
Michael...

all TUFC interests and would be benefactors pulling in the same direction. We are too small to be splintered and fractured. Bang on Rob. United we stand divided we fall. I would not bet too much either way.

A week left until the end of July and we should know a bit more about the direction that our club will take. Whatever happens, big changes will occur and hopefully that will involve the whole community pulling together.
