This shirt was obtained from someone that used to be one of the ball boys up at Plainmoor in the early 1970s. This lovely old Umbro manufactured shirt has some cotton stitching repairs from back in the day. John Rudge wore the number 9 shirt and scored 20 league and cup goals that season...

Nice Neil, I wonder if that was the first season the Gull logo started. Wonder if Stubbsy has got a No.9 shirt. A very nice piece of memorabilia.

Hi Sam, that simple gull logo was first used on the 68/9 shirt. Funnily enough the guy who i purchased the 70/1 shirt from also had a mid sixties number 9 shirt which had been Stubbs shirt and he told me that a member of the Stubbs family had indeed bought that one... which is a nice thought.
