I don't think I can bear to hear Plainmoor being referred to as 'The Launa Windows Stadium' or any other ridiculous/embarrassing title next season.
With this in mind, would anyone else be willing to raise a few quid and getting the club to re-name Plainmoor as... erm... Plainmoor?
I thought MB Insolvency was a brilliantly apt shirt sponsor last season so I'll leave that in the hands of those who know best.

Whilst I agree that plainmoor sounds miles better than the LWS, we must remember that we are a bit short of the ready. In fact we should be grateful that launa windows have agreed to help out. As to the fans buying the naming rights; if they have money to burn it should go into the players fund leaving the naming rights open to commercial sponsership as an additional avenue for outside investment. The fans, if they really have the club's interests at heart, cannot afford to appear hostile to commercial outside investment.

Although renaming of stadia leaves a bad taste in fans mouths, it is the future and is a commercial decision that is a no brainer!!!

According to the club any money raised from sponsorship will go straight into the team budget so it's a win-win situation as far as I can see. I'm not being hostile to outside sponsorship but I find it somewhat depressing having to re-name a place so important to myself and many others to scrape in a few quid.

Doubt we will be there much longer though! True. Sigh. I suspect the tide is against us once more. In fact GI could be the rip-tide that carry us off to oblivion. I went to watch AFC Wimbledon on Saturday night. It made me feel that at least when your club goes tits-up there is still hope of a meteoric rise through the non-leagues and a chance for fans to feel like they have some meaning to their club again.

Suppose the club want to sell the naming rights for £10000. A fans group raises ten grand and nico gets ten grand to spend. But suppose the club sell the rights to well known local firm and the fans group donate their ten grand to the players fund. Then nico gets 20 grand. Corporate sponsorship is intended to raise money from groups who expect something in return, ie publicity. It is a fact of modern life.

Personally I couldn't stand the place being called TQ1. It sounded like a pathetic attempt to get down with the yoof.

By all means take the sponsorship money. No matter what is up on the wall we can still call the ground " Plainmoor".
