Well, thank you bay52 for your good wishes.
I assume that you will now go away to wherever you came from and leave us in peace!

More a case of "Forgotten but not gone"than "Gone but not forgotten".

bay52 Not quite there yet, but I'm sure they won't be much longer. We have to remember that our new owners from Harrop International have other demands on their time, and other arms of their business to run. The won't be able to reschedule or drop everything to look in at a non league football club down in Devon, although I'm sure there'll be a window in their busy diary before too long. it was far easier for locally based owners such as Mike Bateson, Fear Bristol, or the latest consortium to jump in the car and be at Plainmoor, whereas the Now (North Of Watcombe) boys don't live on the doorstep. Keep up the posting bay52. For a 78 year old, you're doing very well, and gradually getting to grips with the latest technology. We also value those snippets of inside information that your grandson occasioally picks up. My memory certainly isn't as sharp as it used to be, and not being based in Torquay I've often struggled to recall Nightingale Park, and have probably inadvertantly referred to it as 'Cuckoo Land' as well...it's so easily done. An exciting pre-season I feel sure, so plenty of opportunity for you to share your wisdom and experience with us

Is it right that Gaming International is buying the club for ten pounds?

is it right gaming internatolal buying the club for ten pound. Hardly a surprise. If correct the old board members have cashed in a £9 profit. £1.50 each. The significant money put in will be in the form of a loan which will have to be repaid somehow or other. I may be wrong but I expect that this takeover will see little or no capital investment. I expect that there will be a nominal payment for the actual share capital in Plainmoor Ltd - I don't expect the old board to want to "make a profit" as TU Fans Ltd was suggesting - and that the rest will be lent, not gifted, to the Football Club.Of course, a community share issue would have raised real share capital which would not have been repayable, but the decision has been made to shun that route. Any money that the club loses this season will just be added to the bill and the bill will need paying sooner or later - and that will involve "whatever it takes".

and mine was yesterday.
Sometimes it coincides with a big end of season clash. This happened at Barnet on that famous day. 3 -0 up at half time, my daughters pullout a birthday cake, plastic cutlery and we have a little party. 3 -2 up in the second half and I was getting wind!

Same birthday as my sister... 4th of May. As is my niece! Pretty appropriate as brother in law is a big star wars fan. Cannot even say she was planned though as arrived at 28 weeks!
