Very glad to see we have taken Brendan Moore on loan.He played at UNC who are currently ranked 6th in Division 1 NCAA. I have coached and officiated soccer in New York for a number of years and I have always been impressed with the number of quality American goalkeepers even at amateur level.In many cases their basketball experience carries over very well making them good with their hands and comfortable in traffic. I have no doubt that any of the top University keepers in the US would be successful in English leagues. As a footnote Moore is a Tar Heel which gives him outstanding pedigree. Go Heels!

Looked very good yesterday - excellent stature, commanding presence, assured handling and kicking as well as able to make reflex save. I suspect he is better than DL - although to fair, he is older.

Seeing the comments on US nationality on another post re our loan goalie, I wonder, have we had a thread on the different nationalities who have played for (and, I suppose, managed) the club?
If not shall we have one?
