Perhaps in retaliation, the Gulls could take slices of ham to wave at the home fans? Along with chants of "You're just a bunch of veggies" and "Have you ever seen a steak"

This will indeed be ' a tough one' and after other matches are played on Saturday, this is how the table may look:-
19. FC Halifax................27 points 20. Boreham Wood..........27 --------------------------------------- 21. Altringham.................26 22. Welling......................24 23. TUFC..........................20 24. Kiddiminster..............14
8 points adrift with the transfer window open......

It's a major blow having Courtney Richards suspended as I think his protection of the back four has been a huge factor in making us look a far more solid unit.
Carmichael could possibly fill that role, but I doubt if he will be fit.
With Angus returning and Gerring having played Parkin so well on Boxing Day, I wonder if we might feel tempted to push Smith up into the holding midfield role in front of MacDonald and Gerring and leave the rest unchanged.
The alternative would be to revert to a more conventional 4-4-2 with Heslop and Verma in the centre and one of Briscoe (if fit), Murombedzi, Chaney or Hancox coming in on the right. Sounds a bit lightweight to me.

Carmichael has gone back to Bournemouth having suffered a recurrence of his back injury and Briscoe is out injured for tomorrow both according to the OS.
I expect we'll try to put out the same formation, but it will end up with one square peg in a round hole with Richards absent. Be good to see us do the double on the telly, mind.

Time to offload the perpetual sickies ie Briscoe, and Fairhurst. Can't afford passengers with such a small squad

Thought about driving up today but combination of the foul weather and being televised means I will be shouting at the box with you!

I think Fairhurst could be a big asset going to the second half of the season as we are not exactly flush with decent strikers. Obviously injured his knee and maybe due to lack of fitness hurt his thigh - hopefully not too long until fit again.
