Exeter City 1936/37 League 13 games 4 goals FA Cup 3 games 0 goals (reached last 16, beating Leicester) Exeter City 1937/38 League 13 games 6 goals FA Cup 2 games 1 goal D3S Cup 1 game 0 goals all games for Exeter at inside left. Torquay United 1938/39 League 13 games 0 goals Pope started the season at inside left and played all of the first 12 games (8 at inside left and 4 on the left wing) before losing his place. He then played just one more game - on the left wing at Clapton Orient on April 17. Remarkably, he played exactly thirteen league games in each of his three seasons as a professional - unlucky for some. He was 5 feet 7 inches - 10 stone ten pounds.
