I remember that night so clearly - arriving on the supporters coach to graffiti over the Scunny ground of 'TUFC die', 'Caldwell die' etc and it was an intimidating night. As away fans, we were stuffed high into the grandstand and kept behind afterwards and escorted across the pitch once the ground was cleared. I remember a lone Scunthorpe fan coming towards me and I felt certain he was going to hit me, but instead, he stuck out his hand to shake and wished us good luck.
This was the high. The Swansea outcome was one of the biggest lows I've ever had as a Torquay fan. I find missing out on promotion a harder pill to swallow than relegation. Nothing worse than hopes being dashed - especially after the torrid few years we had been through.

I was there. A great night. Remember the Scunny fans stoning the glass sides of the grandstand at the end of the match. The exhaust dropped off my Nissan Sunny just outside Scunthorpe on the way back and it was like driving a tank all the way home.
