Another mention of the change strip we wore when our colours clashed back in the early fifties...

I can't remember the extent to which we've previously discussed football in Totnes.
This is Totnes United. Did Totnes Town come later or were they around back then as a rival club?
Weir Marsh. I'm guessing this is around the back of KEVICS close to the weir which spans the Dart upstream of the railway bridge.

Following on from Hector's post but drifting off-topic a bit, it's funny how a team's colours get embedded for often quite spurious reasons: the corporate colours of Exeter City Council are green & white, Exeter Falcons colours were green & white, Exeter University's sports colours are green, yet Exeter City supporters profess to loathe everything about the colour.
Odd.

Does anybody remember Totnes Birdwatchers who were playing in the South Devon League in the 1970's?

Odd. Yet Exeter City's first colours were, indeed, green and white. www.historicalkits.co.uk/Exeter_City/Exeter_City.htm

Does anybody remember Totnes Birdwatchers who were playing in the South Devon League in the 1970's? I remember the name, as I think Andy Provan played for them , post-Torquay, of course. His children went to the same primary school as me, and at lunchtimes we had set places and I sat next to his daughter. I always remember her saying the name Totnes Birdwatchers, when I asked who her dad played for at the time, which I did ask frequently, simply out of wonder of the football club's name. Not sure if the name was an ironic, non-PC, claim of masculinity or a genuine collective of footballers with an interest in our feathered friends.
