A Helston programme. Whatever next? Marvellous.
We've encountered Mike Tiddy before. Now there's the chance for Helstonians to see him play for Cardiff City at St Austell. Transport courtesy of Flora Motors.
And, on Flora Day itself, a match between Helston and a South West League XI. That may well have satisfied and placated a few locals who had grown tired of all that endless dancing. You'll probably be humming that tune as you read these words.
A couple of Callands and a Northcott in the United line-up. Are there any names we don't recognise?
Plenty of Meneage Street business advertising. In wonderfully distinctive fashion one of the other main streets in the town is Coinagehall Street.

Interesting line up. Not aware of the full backs. Half backs included Norman Lloyd, George Northcott at centre half. Pat Fewings from North Devon on the right wing. Albert and Ted CALLAND up front. Two interesting names were I believe two local players in Albert Cheeseworth and possible Dave Mitchell. Mitchell if it is the one I am thinking of was a more than useful midfield player for Chelston. He was also very well known in cricket circles. An excellent cricketer who went to become an umpire.
