Well, the opener is Australia v England with just a mere 343 to chase down!!! Would be a record for us. Hopefully we won't "follow on"!!!!

Well, it is certainly known as the Cricket World Cup but, having seen some of the batting in the current version, I would suggest that it has become more like baseball than cricket.
Some people might enjoy the ugly, blind slogging which seems to be a necessity in modern day limited overs matches, but for me it is anathema and has nothing to do with cricket. Roll on the return of test match cricket and traditional technique.

Hi Stewart....we may have different opinions on other subjects.....but totally agree with you on this ......as much as I want england to win at every format of the game......which dosent happen that often alas .....ha ha ......I am a purist of the game and love test cricket.....all techniques have gone out of the game....kids are not taught now how to hold a bat properly anymore.....they arebought up watching 20/20 and find that more appealing.....don't get me wrong am all about n favour of moving on....don't think I will see it my life time but test cricket will be no more.....si
