Afternoon campers......early one....good time to be playing brilly rovers .....readdress what happened to us the other day......get out there you gulls and show em we won't lie down for nobody .....they will be thinking easy peasy this TORQUAY outfit......how wrong......the gaffer will get the boys fired up for this,and go out there and kick some brilly arse.......so come you yellows start the new year off with a bang.....on that note a happy new year to each and every one of you.....and of course our great club to prosper to .....si......DISCO DANCING TORQUAY.....si

A new year but not new opponents! Outplayed by all accounts at Plainmoor we need to turn that result around to galvanize the team to the sort of run needed to get to the play offs. My two previous visits to this ground have ended with wins so hope to keep that run going!
Team news is that Young is 50/50 and may be rested with the.home.game against Alfreton on Sunday in mind. McQuilkin is.back.in. light training but this is.too soon for.him. Rice is now available though Ives has gone back to Belfast to get over his back injury.

Last time I saw Torquay play against Bristol Rovers was the 12th November 1966 at Eastville. We lost 1-0 and I can still see Robin Stubbs blasting a sitter over the bar! I can see that result repeating itself today.

Concur with your train of thought - to get a point would be overachieving when taking form into account BUT we all live in hope!

If we play like we did on Boxing Day, I'm sure we will have a pretty miserable afternoon. However, funny things do sometimes happen and I just have this strange feeling that we will do a bit better today than we did, at home, last week.

Fancy the Rovers crowd is rather subdued listening to it.
Needed that second goal and playing against the wind second half but a pretty good performance from us so far.
Nice to hear Chaps having an influence on the game.
My fear is Gosling will emerge second half and tear Cruise to shreds again.

on our early season play this game would of been over by now,we would of torn them apart and be 3 up by now,it just disappeared,why god knows,we need another one which would finish them off.The next goal if there is one will be the deciding factor,a young corker would be nice
