I can't remember a game when we were so outplayed for the entire game - if the final score was 15 - 1, I for one wouldn't have complained for it was that one sided. They must have hit the wood work twice, missed two to three open goals and had a further 8 or so 'easy chances'. I think we had two shots on target, one for the goal and one which Benyon was offside (was he? - anyone down that end confirm this). is that three attempts on goal in 180 minutes? Not too sure what happened with the spotty youths trouble - hope the club ban all of them. I knew I had seen the ref before, it was on an old episode of WWE with Stone Cold Steve Austin against Triple H in 'Hell in a Cell'. He let so much 'old school' tackling/ assaults happen and didn't see fit to send off chap they signed from Kiddi - that was as blatent as the Downes elbow the other week - hence why he was subbed straight away. McDonald should have been a bit street savy and rolled about a bit rather than get up in record time and jog off. Nice to see Manse get an adult appreciattion from the fans at the beginning and at the end of the match. Don't think he did that much but would like him back in the team partnering Young. It's hard to put my finger on exactly what was wrong because so much of it was - a complete lack of creativity going forward, dominated in midfield, and incredibly sloppy and open at the back.[

braintree must of been the pits to watch if thats the case chelstongull, yesterday was nothing short of a disgrace.Rovers must of laughed all the way back up the m5,on finding how easy it was.The attendance yesterday will be the last biggy if you can call it that we will see for a long long time i reckon.Nobody is going to turn up to see that crap served up if it continues

Disappointing that we couldn't have put on a better show for our biggest crowd at Plainmoor this season. Letting a goal in so early in the match deflated the home support somewhat. Rovers then got a second and almost a third. We were a bit fortunate with the goal that looked as if it might get us back into the game as Rovers' keeper made a hash of his punched clearance, but they all count.
The wind and rain was driving into our faces in the second half as the weather deteriorated further. That made it all the harder to mount constructive attacks, yet despite riding our luck on plenty of occasions I was on my feet proclaiming a late late Elliot Benyon 'equaliser' in the final minute of the game. The linesman's flag brought that jubilation to an abrupt halt, and as the final whistle blew I don't think we could really begrudge Rovers all 3 points.
Taylor and Gosling looked particularly sharp for them, and they create chances in abundance, although thankfully for us they're not too clinical with their finishing otherwise the scoreboard would have made really sorry reading.
No time to wallow in disappointment for long, as the games come thick and fast at the moment. Plus Aaron Downes will soon be back to add his experience and leadership to the defence. Not a Boxing Day classic by any means, and the return fixture at the Memorial stadium in only a few days time could well be another very tough match for us.

All about opinions, but when they're second went in to make it 0-2, I felt that we had been the better team up until then. Our goal felt like a bit of justice when it went in. However, we were rubbish after that with them looking far away the more likely to get the next goal or three.

yep tis interesting how all us folk interpret games in play, some think more possession means the better side, some like myself look at chances and whom is the busier keeper, for me seabright was fairly busy, where as theres was almost hypothermic, well that's how I saw it anyway rob

Robbed of two points on New Year's Day and robbed of a point on Boxing Day. Super Elliot Benyon clearly onside as he chests the ball home. Admittedly, you could say it would have been daylight robbery had we sneaked a point.

It's certainly onside. Can't rule out handball from that footage, though. Not as clear cut as the two point robbery at the Mem.

When the ref blows the whistle, doesnt he make the signal with his arm to indicate offside?
He starts moving to the half way line, then sees the linesman has his flag up, blows his whistle and makes the signal with his arm which usually means offside?
