Three points. Job done.
It was strange going to a game at Plainmoor EXPECTING to win. Felt like a disaster waiting to happen, so relieved to avoid the banana skin.
We very nearly got going properly in the first half, but didn't really look at the races in the second half.
The back four looked solid enough, but the front men lacked the energy that has marked out previous performances. Not for lack of desire or enthusiasm, but it looked like the fuel tank was nigh on empty for Ofori-Acheampong and Ajala in particular.
Couple of days very well earned rest required before we crack on again.
Classic formula for the first goal. Looks easy. Ofori-Acheampong and Cameron did really well for the second. Some might say it was lucky, but Cameron did exactly the right thing. If you can't pick a shot or a pass, drive it in hard and low - it could go anywhere and it did.
Ricey has been very impressive recently but he certainly had an old Ricey "should I say or should I go?" moment that nearly cost us two points.

Only joking mate... I agree with you on Cruise, I thought we would never see him return this year, but like Downes, his performances have been exceptional. He’s done more than enough to earn a contract. Rice’s mum must have been the match sponsor! I thought the ref did ok. He wasn’t as noticeable as some we’ve had this season. My only criticism would be his eagerness on the whistle. On three occasions he stopped the game far too soon rather than see how things developed. Overall it was an easy game to referee with not many controversial moments And at one nil the points were never in the bag so I can understand why there were no changes up top, however, the squad will need strengthening if the personnel on the bench cannot be trusted to do a job. It was great to see you 'Mr Meldrew' in such high spirits for a change after yesterdays sixth victory on the spin. Unfortunately looks can be so deceiving. Thought he was excellent and certainly gave Cruise a torrid time in the secondhalf - he was so far up the pitch, he loked more like a winger. Sign him up. Not sure how Ricey got MOM, nothing much to do apart from a 'Clash' moment which thankfully Dover put high and wide. The ref was poor giving nearly all the 50/50 tackles in favour of Dover. Heagreaves neededed to sub one of the forwards but with only Yeoman on the bench, very limited options. Lets use some of the Launa money for a striker. Thanks Bri

Having just seen the highlights, I do like the part where the Dartford chap misses the open goal at the end. The best part of that though, was Rice racing outside of his area and making a complete hash of any sort of clearance! He then goes on to blame his entire defence for his cock-up, where what he should have done was turn a bright red, put his hand up and apologise to his entire defence for being such a plonker!

There was a nice announcement at half time about the 90th birthday of a gentleman called Donald Screech who is the clubs official timekeeper and has been watching games at Plainmoor since the 1920s. Has he been discussed on any threads in the past ?
