A slight step up in competition as Dorchester were in the conference south last year but were relegated back to the southern premier! They have a few things in common with our club being known as the magpies, having been managed by Stuart Morgan and a certain Darren Garner having played for them! Another connection? Mark Jermyn, a one-time Torquay youth player, has recently left Dorchester - for Poole I believe - after making a record number of appearances. In the region of 600 from memory.

I hope we get a full match report from Chelstongull. Sadly no as we can back from Dorset yesterday. Passed through Dorchester yesterday on route to Max Gate and Thomas Hardys Cottage. See you Tuesday? |

I was admiring your cunning in taking Mrs Chelston for a few days in Dorset and coming home via Dorchester, but then you get the wrong day!!!! I'd not realised Ben Joyce was at Dorchester now. I have his Torquay shirt from the season he went on loan to Weston (?), presented by Guy Branston , who was joining us. Joyce was the third of our " kiss of death" sponsored players who lasted months. Anyone looking for a present for a Joyce would be welcome to have it.  |
