Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me.
I am looking for the autographs of the following ex Torquay players and would be grateful if anyone could help.
Frank Womack
Ted lowery
Both above are from the 30's
Steve bicknell
Derek Harrison
Ken sandercock
From the 60's and 70's.

Yes, my son and I are Leicester fans who are trying to collect the autographs of every Leicester player since 1919. Big challenge but we're down to our last 152 now!!
I was surprised with how many players played for both Leicester and Torquay, in the last few weeks I've managed to get Bill Towers and Pat Kruse. The Kruse autograph was part of a sheet that was signed by Torquay side of 74 I think and is signed by the following if anyone wants it?
Barry lynch
Kevin lane
Clint boult on
Ian twitchin
Malcolm musgrove
Cliff Myers
Mike Hickman
Graham Parker
Dave Kennedy
Phil sandercock
Willie brown
If anyone knows Derek Harrison that would be great

Just out of interest,how many players have played for Leicester since 1919 and what criteria do you use to deem them worthy of an autograph?
D-day for us is 1927 when we first got into the football league with a thousand odd having played for us since then!

Derek Harrison is a good friend of mine.
If you want his autograph you will find him I Gulls nest most home games.hes not changed that much.

D-day for us is 1927 when we first got into the football league with a thousand odd having played for us since then! Thank you. There have been just over a thousand in total. We have them all in photo albums, season by season, in order of debut. It's amazing to see how things have changed! In the 20's and 30's we had around 5 debutants a season, then in Svens days we were having almost a new team each year!! 1919 was the season we changed from Fosse to City. The criteria we are using is that they must have played a first team game (either starter or sub) in a competitive game, not including war games. We've written to a lot of the old players who we have been able to find and most of them have replied with their autograph which is really nice. I even found an ex player on Facebook!! |

Yes, doing managers too, only about 4 managers to go although they are the oldest ones!! I do have O'Farrell. He did well for us, a cup final defeat and a second division championship although both were before my time! Thanks for that Jon, I will send you my details now. An autograph on a piece of paper is great, if possible, dedicated to Dylan (my son) would be fantastic. |
