We meet the ones we love in some funny places at times, while many find their new love at their work place. I wonder if any member has found the love of their life at a football match?
I would imagine the odds are very low, but you never know, so If you did what team and what game was it. Do you take your love to football with you now? does she/he like it, is she/he a fan just like you, or does she/he go along to keep an eye on you.
Maybe you took her/he before, but you no longer take her/he, why? what happened and one more question has going to football got in you into trouble with the love one?
Just a bit of fun this thread, but would be great to find someone who really did find love at a football match.

A tale of two loves for me really, my first wife hated football and never ever went with me, I was glad really as going to Plainmoor and so many away games in those days, was a real escape for me.
Now Carol loves football due mainly to her granddad. When she was little she would spend all her time with her granddad, he lived at Harbertonford.
She seems to think, but can't fully remember that he was the chairman of Totnes football club, his name if any know it was Charlie Priddle. She would be at all the games and it was a part of her childhood.
While she enjoys watching games on the TV and knows most of the top players names, she never comes to Plainmoor with me. Sadly one day she was treated badly outside the turnstile by a lady steward, I kick up a big fuss and it put her off going again.

I've just re-read my last post and realised I forgot a vital component...
I meant to change kids for videogames in a hilarious twist to my post. But I completely forgot and now I have children that I wasn't aware of...

But I completely forgot and now I have children that I wasn't aware of... You're probably not the only one!! ;D Met my girl on the net ... and then for the first time in real life at Clapham Station. Much like everyone right?? Apparently back in the early days I used to say I wasn't much into football. She soon realised I was bending the truth a little there!! Dragged her to her first Torquay game away at Barnet. She wasn't feeling 100% after hospital treatment and nearly fainted in the heat under that tin roof. She's since been to a few away games during which time she's moved on from Simon Rayner to Chris Hargreaves. We're heading back from Exeter and stopping off at Southampton on Boxing Day. Got a ... go on then reponse ... when I suggested a stop off at Weymouth. Good times.

Emma's been to four games with me; all 1-0 victories, including Exeter City on New Years Day.
I should have taken her last night. It would have been a dull one-nil but we'd have three more points...

Well last night on here we were looking who to blame for not winning, now we can add you to the list think I might need to run a poll on this

Well I first met my at Primary school about 13 years ago till she went to Torquay Community College and I went St. Cuthbert Mayne.
We then met at Kevin Hills surprise party a year ago last summer and kept in touch for about 6/7 months before we started going out together. She went to the Torquay v. exeter game on boxing and new years day and is going to te Weymouth home and away games. Shes a Torquay fan but like most girls dosnt know much about football and has no clue about the offside rule.
Its going great at the moment and were going to Manchester on the 27th and are coming back on the 2nd one day earlier than we wanted due to the small fixture of the F.A. Cup match with Blackpool
