Well this is the big one and the start of our climb up the table. Torquay United care nothing for reputations. Remember Villa Park!!!! 1-0 away win Aaron Downes with a header from a corner (although I would prefer a Danny Stevens hat trick to shove it up the as*es of some on the dot com site!!)

Leaving in a bit and bringing my Southampton supporting mate with me. I've told him to leave his saint's shirt at home!! He's desperate to see pompey lose so will be cheering along with the rest of us gulls!
Keep checking to see if the labadie signing has been verified, can't quite believe it but would be a real boost if true!

No official news about Rudge anywhere either not even on BBC or Sky listings.
Not the greatest history at their place but every match its a clean piece of paper. Hope we offer more attacking threat and keep it tight form the first minute and stop them playing. They have improved slightly of late and will consider this fixture as a great opportunity to push on again against one of the little fish of the football league. Crowds usually keep up well at Fratton and are still averaging around the 14,000 mark incredible for a club that has struggled so badly in recent times. Haven got a clue how to read this one and it depends if Greavsy can get the majority of the team playing close to their full potential. Undecided so has to be a 1-1 draw for me. I live in hope not expectation.

Hope we start with a front three of Stockley, O'Brien and Goodwin. Chappell on one wing and little Danny -cutting in- on the other wing! Three points in the bag!
Sadly, I don't think that's going to happen, so have put us down for a 1:0 loss in the PL!

Quite a few options for Hargreaves and looking forward to seeing the line up! Can Labadie play today or does being with us previously on loan negate the timing...

Damn it I thought Danny may have got a start and I could have wound up a few of the Danny haters. Bit of a surprise seeing three dropped to the bench with Tonge Goodwin and Bodin starting in place of Mansell who may still be suffering from a knock, Downes, (form-lack of pace?) and Hawley. Hope it works out. No sign of Danny or the supposed new signing Rudge. As I speak Northapton 1-0 down!

Great win at the home of the quite recent FA cup winners.

Defended like lions in the second half. Pearce and O'Connor particularly outstanding. Such relief when final whistle went! Well done to all the lads. Great three points!!
