Chris Hargreaves' first game as the new Torquay manager will be against the same club that featured in Alan Knill's first game as permanent Torquay manager. But Wimbledon's form has tailed off badly since a promising start - Saturday's 3-0 win at Wycombe was their first win in 8 league games, the previous one coming against Portsmouth on 16th November. This included defeats against Southend and Dagenham, teams that we have beaten in the last month, and Bristol Rovers, with whom we drew
A lack of goals seems to be the problem for the Dons. Before the Wycombe game, they had scored just 1 goal in their previous 5 games. Star striker Jack Midson scored only his 2nd goal of the season at Adams Park, and even that was a penalty. Jim Fenlon was sent off in that game and will miss the Torquay game through suspension
Line-up vs Wycombe:
Gk Ross Worner Def Barry Fuller Def Andy Frampton Def Alan Bennett Def Will Antwi Def Jim Fenlon Mid Sammy Moore Mid Harry Pell For Jack Midson For Luke Moore For Charlie Wyke
Subs: Seb Brown (Gk), Callum Kennedy (Def), Kevin Sainte-Luce (Mid), Chris Arthur (Mid), Charlie Sheringham (For), George Porter (For)
Head-to-head:
Torquay - 3 AFC Wimbledon - 2 Draws - 1
Including Wimbledon FC results:
Wimbledon - 10 Torquay - 4 Draws 2
Last match: Torquay 1-1 Wimbledon (Pell 87; Downes 90), League Two, August 2013
Last Wimbledon win: Torquay 2-3 Wimbledon (McCallum 5; Mansell 9; Mitchell-King 33; Howe 90; Long pen 90), League Two, January 2013
Last Torquay win: Wimbledon 0-1 Torquay (Howe 34), League Two, September 2012
Last Wimbledon win at Kingsmeadow: Wimbledon 2-0 Torquay (Yussuff 79; Moncur 85), League Two, April 2012

Despite not going to this one, really looking forward to see how Chris lines up the team with the ins and outs and may be the odd new signings or two. Suspect things will be in a state of flux until Chris get a grip of things. Hoe about this for a line up?
Poke
Mansell. Pearce, O'Connor, Cruise
Chappell, Mozika, Lathope, Labadie, Bodin
NEW striker / Jayden / Hawley

Dot com now reporting that Stockley has signed on a further month's loan. Obviously someone that Hargreaves knows well and stated " we want him to worry the Wimbledon defence on Saturday" so likely to be starting?

I see that the other site are predicting half the football players of the known world are about to descend on Plainmoor. Sadly though, none of them will be in the team tomorrow because they have all been held up at the Penn Inn roundabout! Luckily for us the team bus driver knows the way through Milber, so they are winging their way to Wimbledon as I type!
The match tomorrow of course could go any way. We still have the same players that couldn't string two passes together for poor old Knill and if they do turn into world beaters over night they should be a) ashamed of themselves for not putting in crap performances previously because after all they're so called professionals, and b) forgiven, because they will now be able to pull us out of the shite that they actually put us into! I'm going for a 1:1 draw tomorrow with Downes (who else) scoring early and them getting the mandatory late goal in the last ten minutes or so! I see that Hargreaves would have liked to have Yeoman start in the team tomorrow saying that he sees great potential in the youngster...didn't someone (the only one)on this site say they also saw great potential in Yeoman!

True Reg, I quite like the look of him as well. You do though have to wonder when potential turns into reality. The last 3 managers have seen something worth offering a contract for but he's not seemingly been rated enough to get much pitch time. It may be a mental thing. He went to Bideford on loan because, reputedly, he knows the players and preferred that to somewhere higher up the ladder.

I think Hargreaves could be the making of the lad and if what you say about Bideford is true then he needs a short sharp kick up the arse by Hargreaves to release his potential...watch this space I suppose.

Interestingly perhaps I didn't update others in my head to head book while we were in the COnference. Can anyone direct me to a site that covers All league comps AND Non league head to heads... though I suppose I could work through match by match for those 2 years if not.

Though I suppose I must add that the easy way out is a malaise that has entered the lives of most young people nowadays. Take the xfactor for example. So what does getting into the xfactor mean to you? " Oh it means everything to me I have never thought of anything but this, if I don't win the xfactor my life will be over!" No, you're seventeen years old you one handed self lover, go out and get a life and live your life and find yourself a job like the rest of us did at your age! "But if I don't win the xfactor!"...f*ck off!

It will be really interesting to see how we set up.
Can't see us not having three in the midfield - Lathrope behind Mansell and Labadie.
I'm not sure whether to expect Bodin in behind a front two, or Chapell and Bodin supporting Stockley from wide.
