Well here's the news that we've all been speculating on. www.torquayunited.com/page/News/0,,10445~1476113,00.html It makes sense. We now have a run of Fri 26th Weymouth A Sun 28th Kiddiminster H Sat 3rd Blackpool H Tue 6th Burton A Then I think it's the next round of the FA Trophy on the 10th Thurs 15th Wrexham unless we have a FA Cup replay. If we do we gat Wrexham at home on the 17th as before. Looking at that run the players are going to get a better rest in between games than the original fixture list.

Yes it all makes sense now Pikey as you say, but I must say I'm not to happy losing the new year days game. I know things are different now than they used to be. We always played Exeter on the boxing day and the new years day, local derby's over the Xmas period was a tradition. Why the football league changed it I simply do not know, but at least in the BSP we were back to a local derby over Xmas. Mind you that is if you consider Weymouth to be classed as a local derby, but seeing it is the closest team to us( Is Forrest Green closer?) then I suppose we must say it is. All those poor TUFC fans who are now going to be dragged around the new year day sale, sorry girls but shopping is a girls thing, men should be at a football match on new years day. Not sure what I will be doing on that day now, shopping I won't be, well I can always chat with my friends on the forum, or even spend some time with Carol, shes happy as I have given her a recent photo of me, so she does not forget what I look like

At least I don't have to worry about being over the limit from the previous night when driving down to Torquay from N. Devon now. However, the downside is I won't have an excuse not to go to the "open house" one of our neighbours always has on New years Day!

We now get an extra days preparation over Blackpool for the cup game now. As we know we play Kidderminster on Sunday and Blackpool are at home to Wolves on Monday night. Well that is as it stands, but I don't think it will be changed as they still have 4 days in between and I think it's Monday Night Football on Sky
