I spent a couple of hours at Torre Abbey last Sunday and it was interesting to note that the balloon did not go into the air once, because they had no willing customers ! And yes it was open for the public. It seems like the big white balloon is going to turn into a big white elephant. Plus they've plonked the balloon right where there used to be some nice flower beds. What with the balloon in the wrong location, the sorry looking decimated Rock Walk (although it had to be done for safety reasons in fairness), and the thick layer of seaweed built up on the sands, this was not a good advert for the English Riviera. At least our football team seems to be getting their act together.

I spent a couple of hours at Torre Abbey last Sunday and it was interesting to note that[glow=yellow,2,300] the balloon did not go into the air once, because they had no willing customers [/glow]! At £14 a go its no surprise really, I 'm not sure but I was told that it is a fixed price for all ages. So a family of four would have to find £56 for a 15 mins ride. The biggest concern has always been the covenants that Mr Bye just ignored, even more so when he has plans for other sites in Torbay that are also meant to be protected, Take a look at the thing www.devoncam.co.uk/devon/places,23,Torquay.html
