Sunday football at Plainmoor in 1981 and a not very impressive crowd.
A junior member/mascot called Turl. That's a surname I always associate, with a degree of dread, with childhood visits to the dentist on Morgan Avenue.
The start of my lost period of football at Torquay. I was to watch very few games at Plainmoor between 1981 and 1988.
The previous day - at the end of a month's training in Edinburgh - I see I'd been at the Scottish Cup semi-final between Celtic and Dundee United.
But no fear. I attended a "proper" cup final the following Friday: Islington Villa and Upton Athletic in the Herald Cup.
