Three games left of this "gelling period" is it before Knill makes a decision. Surely a few of this lot have had their chance? Losing interest fast and haven't seen anything that will convince me to turn up again this season, moneys tight in any case. For me even pre-season had all the signs that we would struggle with less than convincing performances but hey were supporters and get the slightest encouragement from the odd unconvincing attack against the marines Hereford etc. We are a less capable squad than last season for some reason today and last week confirmed it just a point better off than Hartlepool who scored their second and third league goals today. Yes we played better by all accounts, after last week the players had to show they had some balls after all. They may have balls but they are all impotent in front of goal. Another season of struggle looms and a manger who is sticking stubbornly to a tactic that is clearly failing week after week. The subs are becoming even more of a mystery, Cruise and an inexperienced Sullivan get a few minutes each to change a game that again is lost in the last 15 minutes. Love to believe their is some hope lurking around he corner. The mysterious injury prone Mozika is he really here? Ball a waste of space should be sent back to get somebody who may just know where the bloody net is and Hawley not far behind. What is really narking is that no player is hitting any sort of form. All it needs is one or two to start playing and setting the rest an example to lift the others and it just isn't happening. Oh well same side same tactics and formation next week - looking forward to that.

Although bitterly disappointed at another loss today, reading various reports, sounds like we played better in what was a very tight game that could have gone either way. Saying, that, once again we have failed to score first which is why where we are but need to have that lucky break.

That's the fourth time I've seen Torquay United this season and it's the best I've seen us play in the first half of a game. Rochdale shook things up in the second half but looked as if they were running out of steam again when they scored. Overall not especially good nor bad; the game could have gone either way or neither. I'd say it was an ordinary game between two ordinary sides. If we'd had several decent results this season I'd shrug my shoulders about today: games like this happen in good, bad and indifferent seasons. But, because the season hasn't quite run too sweetly to date, I'm getting a little twitchy. Or, at least, rather more uncertain than when I set off to Fleetwood last Saturday morning. Games such as today's are precisely the ones where we should be regretful of not getting a return. 4-4-2 as we now expect. Defensively no great problems - well done Ricey again - save for the Nicholson issue (compounded by him not being particularly effective going forward). Chappell was excellent in the first half; Bodin was Bodin and, as is often the case, frustratingly casual. Mansell and Harding were on top for part of the game but not consistently strong. Hawley threatened; Ball looked best on the ground. But, together, sadly no great threat. Game aside, an enjoyable day for me because there were things to do either side of the match. If I'd travelled up and back from South Devon I don't think I'd be necessarily annoyed or angry. But I would be feeling rather flat. There's not quite enough zest at the moment.

Thanks for your reports chaps! Interesting thoughts about Nico, if he is not adding much going forward then surely Cruise should be considered. Lets hope he has a good game on Tuesday.....

To not change the team and loose the odd game is unfortunate, to sit back and not make changes and watch us keep loosing is unforgivable. Lets see if mr knill is the real deal and as he said after 10 games change things if its not working... I'm not holding my breath Turning into a mirror image of this time last year for Knill. Scunthorpe had quite rightly seen and heard enough of him by October when they had just ten points. Surely if results carry on like this Thea may have to reach for the phone sometime before Chistmas...

Just have to give the guy a few more games I suspect, before passing judgement? We are in transition and rebuilding things - let's not get too much like some on the bed wetters site! Things will improve!

Surprised the quote from Knill 'we went in at half-time at 0-0 quite happy and even in the second half thought it had 0-0 written all over it' hasn't been picked up on. Seems a very odd thing to say about a game when getting a goal yourself in that second half seems like a decent option to try with a few changes to tactics, formation or personnel. Unless the feeling was there were no changes that could be made to avoid a stalemate and c'est la vie?
Given recent results I suppose Knill-Knill would have been good. Or perhaps I haven't quite grasped the context of the Manager's take on things?
Quite agree that the next three are all winnable.

Goodness, go away for a while and in that time we lose two bloody games. Didn't expect anything from Fleetwood, but Rochdale, should have got something there if only a point in order to stop drifting away from the other crap clubs! I keep hearing about this "TEN Game" thing! Was that something Knill said? If you employ a bricklayer and ask him to build you a wall and he says it will take ten days to do the job then after two or three days the wall starts to look like it might fall down if a Mole strolls by and farts, then you tell the bricklayer to get on his bike! Surely, Knill can see that what he has got isn't working so why doesn't he bloody change things around before we get so deep in the shite we will be unable to get out! I would understand if we didn't have any players to replace the ones in the first team, but we have! Cruise for Nico...reading reports and having seen him myself this season, it's time to give him a rest Yeoman for Ball...hope he goes back to Derby at the end of the month...fat chance! Craig for Harding...he can't be any bloody worse...can he? As someone above aptly put it though, it will be the same team that turns out for our next game!
Sigh!
