Good to see that we (that's us Torquay boys, not that Babbacombe lot) were making the national papers as far back as 1912. I would tell you which paper these cuttings come from, but I'm afraid Felix would never talk to me again. 6 May 1912 4 June 1912

Sixteen teams in the Plymouth & District League in 1911/12: seven of them military; the reserves of Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City; the remainder (I assume) club first teams: Torquay Town, St Austell, Millbrook Rangers, Oreston Rovers, Torpoint, Tavistock and Babbacombe.
A poor year for Babbacombe I'm afraid and not an occasion for us to venture over the hill and line the streets of Torre to welcome Gerry Deane and his troops home from the Three Towns.
