Dawlish have "come and gone" as regards coverage in Torquay's Herald Express. EX postcode, but "border territory". If you (do I guess you are working with John H on this?) draw a blank, I'll try to tackle a query list one day at Torquay library if it helps.

Yes assisting John H and this one eludes him. As I am no longer in the area I seek some local expertise

St Luke's College is a blast from the past. If you're a certain age it's a fair bet that your PE teachers went to St Luke's.
And it's the case that a few school football teams of the 1970s dreaded games against St Luke's College - even their 3rd or 4th XI - from fear of being given the run around by their fitter and older opponents.
St Luke's 1978? Would Chris Penford have been playing for them? Or had he already discovered the fifteen-a-side dark side?
