Yeovil Town Reserves v Torquay United Reserves
20th October 1980
Abandoned after 89 minutes with Yeovil leading 2-0
Neither the W.L. minutes nor the Western Gazette report state why the match was called off so late (perhaps a bad injury)
The minutes do state that the result was allowed to stand
Anyone remember?

John, I don't say I remember it but my information says it was floodlight failure, I hope that helps.

I would like to be able to say from my encyclopedic mind on all things Gulls Jon, when in truth it was page 11 of the Torquay v Darlington programme 1/11/80.

I would like to be able to say from my encyclopedic mind on all things Gulls Jon, when in truth it was page 11 of the Torquay v Darlington programme 1/11/80. Good thinking! I did have a check if Timbo had uploaded that one, only found the Port Vale one (Bruce's debut) from a few days later. Thanks for solving the mystery!
