Have I missed something or was the renaming of this part of the forum a parting gift from our former leader?

I like the new name. With the other one I used to always think pf Mike Reed, which is bizarre and a little disturbing for myself. The new name also has the advantage of being an anagram of Sloppied.

Would that be Radio One DJ Mike Reed, of Mike Reed as in PPPAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!!!! Incidentally, Plopside is also an anagram of Plod Pies.

Confession time. I put the L in the Plopside.
As Stu and Lyongull remember, Mervo used to have a Plopside.
Dave missed out the L and had a Popside.
I have been an admin in name for a few months but had never actually done any admin until I decided a few weeks ago to find out how to take out the dead picture links.
While I was at it, I decided to stick the L in the Plopside as a tribute to Mervo.
The other thing I did was to rip up the member rankings. Apologies to anyone who was posting furiously in an attempt to become a legland. I strongly feel that somebody with no posts should be "ranked" the same as somebody with 100,000 posts.
Apologies also to Rob for this uncharacteristic burst of dictatorial behaviour. I don't know what came over me.

No need to apologise Jon, although I was starting to doubt my sanity over that L! When the forum was set up, one of the principles was that no member should be deemed better than another on account of rankings and posts and that is something I would have changed back anyway. In fact, I want to go one step further and get rid of the post count as well unless members have strong objections?
