Well as expected Bevan has signed for a third month, his loan will take him up until 28th December. I feel much better facing all the games we have coming up, knowing we have two first class keepers in the team.
Still think it would be great if we could then sign him after this loan in the January transfer window, keeping my fingers crossed.

Great news that Bevan is available to us until the end of the year - which is what this effectively means. I believe the maximum period allowed for an emergency loan is 93 days and so in order to allow this to include the Kiddie home game on the 28th December, I think the club has effectively "broken" the loan for a couple of days (Tues- Thurs of this week) and then taken out a new 31 day loan effective from yesterday.
It really does seem as though Bucks is leaving his options open with regard to the two keepers and what happens in January - great position for the club to be in with two quality keepers at this level.

Should we beat Oxford tomorrow, still leaves Poke unable to play in the third round ( unless Southampton relent) and Beavon no longer at the club!
Or will he be!
When does the January* transfer window open?
* Don't say January!

It's a valid point about the 3rd Round of the FA Cup, but we've got to get there first of all - and if we do then I would expect the situation to be resolved by either the permanent signing of Bevan (or Poke), or the permission of Southampton to play Poke obtained, or the signing of another keeper if neither of the other options transpires. Whatever happens, as things stand, we could still recall Martin Rice - but I honestly think we have seen the last of him!

I have to agree crispy, that we won't see Rice again, I'm sure he will sign for Truro, maybe even in the January transfer window.
I think where we are in the table going into the transfer window, may be a deciding factor, where Bevan is concerned.Near the top and things not looking like he will get a look in at his own club, could be all he needs to sign for us.
Out of Bevan or Poke, I think Bevan is the one I would prefer and the one we have the best chance of signing. I'm sure Bucks will know already what chance we have of keeping him here.
