I tried to vote yes but it won't let me as it just came up with a message saying 'invalid entry possible forgery'! Well thanks!! I have had the same message before when trying to place a vote for poster of the month. This new software is a nightmare. Apart from all my votes being deemed invalid often when I try to go to the next page I get a ridiculous message about an angry bear preventing me from doing so. Well I'm an angry bear now - took me 3 attempts to log in this morning and when I get in I am not allowed to vote!
So yes keep the forum open (but you won't see my view reflected in the poll!!)

Keep it open please. You're not likely to get much in the way of new members if you have to register just to read the forums.

This is like saying only season ticket holders can get into Plainmoor. If you happen to be passing and fancy watching a game...tough shit. Of course it should stay open! This is not the biggest forum on the planet so if you have to be registered to get on here the chances of getting any new recruits is virtually nil, and with all the toy throwing from some members going on at the moment (a negative site) we could do with a few new posters!

I wouldn't worry too much about the negativity on this forum. As a team we have been in freefall all year and only 43 hours ago we were sitting 23rd out of 24 with 3 games to go. People react in different ways. Myself I tend to be generally positive and that is normally reflected when I post. Not everybody is like that. If you think this forum has been negative in recent weeks you should look at the largest Torquay forum. There is one poster there who seems to think it is his own personal blog but he veers from deep depression to unrealistic optimism without ever remembering what he has previously said! He should really be on PASOTI as they go from certainties for the BSP to Premiership within 3 seasons just based on a couple of wins against the might of Fleetwood and Chesterfield.
If people have to get it out of their systems I would certainly rather it is on a forum rather than on the terraces where the performance of individuals and the team can be affected by it. It's easy to say professionals shut it out. They don't, particularly in tiny grounds like Plainmoor, and they have the same human frailties as all of us so it is bound to have some affect.
A one goal win for us at Morecambe (certainly achievable)and a one goal defeat for Argyle at home to promotion chasing Rotherham (certainly likely) will put us above our Devon neighbours again (and give us something to play for in the last game if we are already safe)!

Sorry you are having problems using the forum Stefano. V5 software took four years to develop and was tested for over six months and as far as I’m concerned, the old software was much better. I did try to change some of the script when I first had it installed and only managed to muck the forum up completely, so I won’t be trying that again. I will keep reporting to proboards any problems we encounter and hope in time it starts to work as well as the old software. I have taken out one plug-in today that moved the banner under the ad as it seemed to be making the forum jump for some. I will keep looking for any new updates or plug-ins etc that I can add to make the place more like the home we knew. Ps your vote was cast as you show up in the list of voters, but it never shows what any voter actually voted for.

Being a stubborn bugger after posting to say I wasn't able to vote I went back and tried again, and then again, and then again, and eventually it clicked over and registered my vote. In case there is any doubt I voted yes. It is still a good forum although I am amazed that a club with our fanbase has 3 (Premiership club in waiting Argyle only have 2!).

Glad it worked in the end for you. By the way when you click on poster of the month the score goes up and a popup comes up and simply tells you that you can't vote again until ? That time will be one hour later after you cast the vote. Who votes for who is not recorded so its a completely secret voting system.
