Thanks for the great pictures Nick, is picture five an old signal box? If so do you know what line it would have been on?

The signal box-like structure at Northamptonshire County Cricket club is the former press and scorers' box. It's now some sort of rest room/library for spectators on rainy days. I'm not sure whether it was built as a signal box elsewhere - most likely not - but it has been on the ground for at least a hundred years and so has seen plenty of cricket and football in its' time.

Thanks Nick, I’m sure if it has been there for over 100 years, it was custom build for the job. It certainly looks very much like a signal box and would not be out of place in any railway station. A nice feature to have at any sporting venue as it just has bags of character.
