A game played on August Bank Holiday 1967, one of the very first bank holidays at the end of that month.
This was to be John Docker's five minutes of fame. On loan from Coventry we last encountered him on the 1967 German tour.
We learn of Frank O'Farrell: "this quiet-spoken Irishman knows what he wants and he means to get it".
An advert for the service station on the A30 at Fenny Bridges. I could never work out why, as a child, the seventeen miles between Exeter and Honiton seemed so interminably long. Were they country miles?
