Having heard today that I shall almost certainly not be given the option of early retirement it looks like I have to stay in the North for another year or so at least but rest assured everyone that I am not going to turn my back on Torquay United FC who are still my favourite team. I lived through the Summer of Love so I might have a casual fling in the meantime with Sheffield United, but if I do it will only be a passing fancy and no threat to my relationship with and love for the Gulls.
On the positive side though I aim to be Riviera-side for the match against Wycombe and possibly Oxford as well if my car goes fast enough down the M5 so if you know me please look out for me.
Invitations to the pub pre-match will be welcomed with thanks.

This is unfortunate news, Wildebeeste, but at least you'll be available for trips organised by the Badger. You'll be most welcome although I don't think he'll be driving the van to Ukraine to see the Toon. If only.....
And there's a host of re-arranged Tuesday night games at Hallam in January which I'm sure will each be called off for a second time.
It's also unfortunate that you're double-booked at Bramall Lane (for the visit of Yeovile) on the day we are at Burton. I'll keep that to myself rather than damage your burgeoning reputation as a TUFC Ultra.
But don't forget to check your diary for our fixtures at Rochdale, Accrington and Morecambe - all of which can be reached via Todmorden.
A degree of misfortune elsewhere today. I'm currently heading in the general direction of Aldershot....

Poor lad! That's bad luck. Again. But Rochdale? We are so there.
And I haven't given up yet. If not enough workers apply for VER before 20 January I might get another chance.
