What was the point of spending five and a half million on a report, if the prime minister of this country decides to ignore the recommendations the people of this country want to see happen. I’m all for free speech and have been concerned we the people of this land have lost a great deal of our own right to have it, but our press can not be allowed to get away with all it does in the name of free speech.
Phone hacking, naming innocent people who end up with their lives ruined has to be stopped and the press should no longer be allowed to regulate themselves. Time as the reports says for change and time to have an independent board to keep our press in check.

Curb the freedom of the press and you play right into the socialist/fascist hands. Freedom of speech is just that even if it's offensive. Take it away and you open the door to all sorts of abuse that is far worse than a few celebs being caught out. The more serious cases are already protected by law as we are seeing. No need for curbs in freedom or we might as well all go and live in the peoples republic of lambeth! Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Mao, Lambethgull must be proud of the Labour parties stand. This is how the Socialists stage their coup. www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/dec/01/ed-miliband-deadline-press-regulationOnce they control the press they control your thoughts. No more investigations into corrupt Politicians or inconvenient enquiries about jailed heroes. All you will get is how the latest grain production is up 500% from last year due to the heroic workers and how the heroic leaders next 5 year plan is going to be good for the people. Anyone who doesn't conform can be spirited away with no questions asked. Maybe they could use Scotland as our Siberia equivalent. This is a very scary bit of legislation piggy backed in on an emotive subject. Soon there will be no more innocent until proven guilty judged by 12 of your peers. Closed courts with tame judges making rulings in secret where you're not allowed to question the evidence........couldn't happen right? www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/nov/19/ken-clarke-defends-secret-courts
