OK, we once had a thread started on here that was called relegation battle, well after our very poor start, some may have felt that was what it seemed like at the time.
But after a great run of results we are close to going top of the league, so its time to see how views may have changed about where we will end up this season.
Please vote and give your reasons why you voted and if you have voted for us not to go up as the champions, who do you think will?

I would love up to go up as champions, but I voted to go up via the play offs, I just feel after last seasons end, I would be more than happy, just to put It right this season.

I'm quietly confident of us being Champions. I also believe our nearest rivals will be Burton - I just really hope it's not hinging down to the final day, as we host Burton! I keep dreaming of wrapping the title up infront of thousands of Gulls at Salisbury on Easter Monday, or Stevenage the weekend after. I'm hoping these dreams come true, as is everybody else! Come on you Gulls!

I feel Wrexham are looking the biggest threat at the moment but I still voted for up as champions, couldn't take the play offs again!

So far 71.4% feel we will go up as champions, I hope we are not doing what we did last season and that is getting our expectations too high. Mind you its good to be positive and it should keep our Dave Shaw happy

I voted that we will go up as champions! As long as Buckle doesn't feck it up and lose his bottle again.

A bit of deja vu for me! Reach the play-offs but fail again!

I voted that we will go up as champions! As long as [glow=yellow,2,300]Buckle doesn't feck it up and lose his bottle again[/glow]. I think today Paul Buckle has made you eat your words about his bottle, (not withstanding your agenda to have him removed regardless). What a ballsy substitution at half time which PROVES he has the bottle. 2 nil down and he takes off, quite possibly, our player of the season so far, shuffles Thompson into midfield (who i thought played much better there) and brings on Benyon (instead of Green). We looked much better in the second half and fully deserved to go on a win the game. You might probably will argue that it was Buckle who picked the original starting 11 who got us into that position, however it was 2 uncharacteristic mistakes from Nicky Wroe that led to both goals. So rather than feck it up today, i would say that he has shown that he has learnt from previous mistakes and made absolutely the right decision.

TUwhatever. What aload of total bollox. What agenda? All i want is for Torquay United is to get promoted out of this crap league. What's wrong with that? As for Buckle, if he can do the job then bloody fantastic, good on him. I'm only worried about his track record, based on last and this season. He totally made a mess of it and i hope he doesn't feck it up again.......that's it. We will see. If i'm wrong, then we're promoted and who gives a toss what i think. If my doubts are sadly proven then i will take absolutely no pleasure in it as we will still be in this shithole of a division.

TUwhatever. What aload of total bollox. What agenda? You want to read what Paul Buckle has to say in the NLP today about people like you and those nasty little toe rags who have now disappeared from the "comments" facility of the Herald Express. "Since I took the job we've won lots of games but all we are remembered for is just missing out last season" which describes your never ending whingeing to a tee doesn't it! "Even at the start of this season we weren't playing that bad. Anyone who has half a brain and knows anything about football will tell you that. But some people can't wait to say something without thinking.""You need a lot of things - quality, luck - and what you don't need is people making stupid comments"YOU would begin to earn a little regard for your views if you stopped for ever banging on about "Buckle fecking it up" at almost every opportunity and this being a "shit league""Shit league" or not, all you have to do is follow a game on the radio or internet - you get your impressions second hand and fester away curmudgeonly begrudging any credit to a very good squad under a remarkable young manager. I'm more than happy to get along many games as I can afford to given my distance away from home games and some rather challenging economic times at present. So kindly stop chucking in your bitter little two penneth worth substantiated with little more than second hand information! .................and if we do achieve promotion, I wouldn't get too excited Dave; League 2 ain't that much either!

The latest voters have changed the vote somewhat, now 65.7% feel we will go up as champions, while 26.3% feel we will make the play offs but fail again. As these new votes came in after yesterdays result, did only getting a draw and not the win, make some feel that was the reason for them voting that we would fail in the play offs?

You're right merse, league 2 ain't all that, but it's better than playing in this league no matter how much you love setanta. Half a brain comments from Buckle? Priceless! That's half more than he had last season.
