Sounds like a re-run of Saturday? Lots of chances but couldn't hit the net. Once again, we lose under Deadman, turned down a penalty in the first couple of minutes that could have set the tone..
Await match reports with interest.

Another appalling result. What is the excuse tonight Ling? We battered them did we? Unlucky not to score! Ling is so defense minded it is untrue. We play Easten who is a defensive midfielder when we are playing Barnet! Go and attack them. Plymouth beat them 4-1 for christ sake. We only score if Howe scores as a rule. Bar Howe, Saah, Downes and Lathrope, my opinion is the rest have been dam right awful most of this season. Why Yeoman or Jarvis cant have a chance up top with Howe I just don't know. Week in Week out we play the very lazy and totally uncommitted Bodin who I know is young but like Macklin, wont do anything in the game. Tonights result like Sat is appalling.

We do need some loanees to freshen things up and give Rene some support up top. Quite where they are going to come from I am not sure. I am trying not to be too doom and gloom and stay positive but am wondering where the next win is coming from! Maybe Bodin will score a hat trick on Saturday!! There is no need for knee jerk reactions but I do think that unless some new blood is brought in then out threadbare squad will be exposed. Macklin, Morris out long term. Poke now injured (hopefully not too badly) and Rene suspended. Not good, not good at all!

Howe will go onto better things In Jan. Doesn't look like Torquay will offer him anything. He has a baby on the way so if a club offers a two year deal then all the best to him. He may get some help from his team mates at another club and a manager who realizes he cant do it all on his own up front. He must get one chance as a rule with us per game and most times he takes it.

26 points too safety, seems a long way away at present,we should be ok,but having savoured the non league delights, havent any wish to retry them.We did create chances tonight again, but seem hellbent on shooting ourselves in the foot lately. The confidence is going to sap from the squad in a minute, then the lingy out chants, jeez we dont want any of that, been there before

Back to back defeats, lots of chances squandered, but no lack of effort and endeavour. The keeper and striker front not looking good for Oxford... ...time for the club, with its crowds of 1,800-2,500, to tap into that vast war chest and splash the readies around!

From what I have witnessed In the half dozen or so games I have seen I'm not at all surprised by our sudden lack of goals with these last two games ending in tame wimpering defeats. Our league position Is pretty meaningless I am far more concerned with poor individual performances and dreadful uninspiring team performances, and my fear is that it could be the beginning of a dangerous and longer term slide down the table. Rene Howes goals have all of a sudden dried up and nobody else is supporting and chipping in we are relying on our defenders to keep it tight and I cannot for the life of me remember when we "convincingly" dominated a game that we were in no danger of losing. We are getting into some bad habits and it so easily can develop into a losing rut. This i'snt an unjustified whinge, and I do realise the constraints and lack of resources we face but unless there is a remarkable turn around in our performances I see mid table as the only realistic goal and from what I have witnessed this season would take that now. I haven't a clue how Ling can change things without any money but a few more results and performances like last Saturday and it can only be a matter of time before a few panic buttons are pushed and maybe then the manager will given the option to bring in some new blood. Like it or not I could never imagine that Paul Buckle would have gone this long without acting on the player front and I guess that was ultimately one of the reasons he chose to leave because of a lack of resources but he always kept the squad bubbling.. Mind you he would probably have bankrupted the club by now. From a supporters point of view it just doesn't give you any encouragement , we all need to know that something at least is trying to be done to improve the squad to inject new impetus or it wont be long before many turn on the manager despite all the positive things he has achieved. Its a football fact of life.

Fear not Billy "Barndoor with a Banjo" Bodin to the fore on Saturday !!! Also the war chest is empty Where did that £650k go then Keeping a small element back for squad strengthening may have been an idea

had enough now, dont give a toss, anyone want to buy a season ticket?
I'm off up north to watch non-league and the return of the mighty Aberdare Athletic. They will re-take their rightful place that Torquay stole from them many years ago. Torquay have wasted the opportunity and should be replaced immediately
